Overview

The Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) is a governmental agency dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their rights, and enhancing their quality of life. DIDD works to provide a range of services, including residential support, employment assistance, and community integration programs, aimed at fostering independence and inclusion. The department collaborates with families, caregivers, and community organizations to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to the resources and support they need. By focusing on personalized care and advocacy, DIDD strives to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals, while also promoting awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Project Scope

The Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a qualified vendor to develop Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Web-Based Training (WBT) programs. The selected vendor will be responsible for designing, creating, and implementing engaging and effective training modules that meet the department's standards and objectives.

Solution

V Group Inc. executed a comprehensive suite of Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Web-Based Training (WBT) solutions, applying advanced instructional design principles to develop effective training courses. We utilized leading software tools, including Adobe and Macromedia products—such as Authorware, Dreamweaver, Flash, Captivate, Photoshop, and TechSmith’s Camtasia Studio—to create and program interactive training modules. The WBT was deployed using Oracle iLearning and other Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring full compliance with SCORM and AICC standards.

Our efforts encompassed the complete lifecycle of training development, including design, programming, graphic creation, and implementation of high-quality electronic content. This involved the conversion and enhancement of core and specialized training curricula for corrections and law enforcement into dynamic electronic formats.

We conducted thorough research on current events, analyzed industry trends, and reviewed scholarly literature to accurately identify training needs. We collaborated with designated training staff to strategize and align both long- and short-term curriculum objectives, ensuring all project milestones were met and exceeded. Our involvement included regular communication and coordination with training staff to maintain project integrity and adherence to deadlines.

Additionally, we performed rigorous quality assurance on electronic training products and leveraged the ACADIS/FTACS platforms to create, submit, and monitor lesson plans, as well as fulfill other associated duties.
