Overview

The North Carolina Department of Justice has four primary functions: Provide legal representation to state agencies; Assist local law enforcement in fighting crime and prosecuting cases; Provide training and standards for law enforcement, Protect North Carolina consumers.

Project Scope

The state of North Carolina required an end-to-end Management expert for managing the Legal Case Management Program initiative at the Department of Justice.


Solution

The objective of the project encompassed management support for the Legal Case Management Program initiative that the client has just started by understanding the requirements and aligning them with the business goals.

V Group Inc. facilitated the client with managing the nuances of the Justice Department by procuring a new legal case management solution for them across the entire Justice Department landscape. Addressing the business needs, we helped the client in providing end to end project solution that was responsible for all aspects of the project for a successful project completion adding great benefits and values.

As projects comprised of multiple deliverables, they were prioritized as per the need at that time with a streamlined approach and great productivity. Providing all the necessary oversights, delegation, and coordination of tasks with the Business Analysts and the project team members in all Divisions of the agency - they were done effectively.

Creation and management of the integrated project plan, execution of the project plan, project status, and meetings were done in a systematic manner with a focused approach to meeting the deadlines. In addition, with scope changes, risk, and issue tracking/mitigation, and coordination across project teams, all the project plans were overlaid efficiently and effectively. Internal and external negotiations with the project teams (Internal customers, vendors) were done successfully and progress was traced from time to time to get the desired results. Scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget; quality, communication, and procurements were managed with great dedication and attention.

Effective development of an RFP to procure a new Legal Case Management solution that included Legal Services, Financial Services, Medicaid Investigative Division, and Consumer Protection Divisions were created addressing the specific requirements.

With a strategic approach, extensive changes to existing functionality or the implementation of new applications and/or technology were done successfully. Independent management of tangible and intangible assets was done to achieve objectives. V Group also helped the client in supervising all procurement activities for the project including the Development of RFP and vendor management aligned with the performance and business requirements.

With comprehensive analysis and understanding of the current environment, V Group Served as a liaison between Agency and the solution’s contract to help the client achieve desired goals within specific time and cost perimeters.
