Client Description: The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMAT)] commonly referred to as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that operates transit service in the Washington metropolitan area. WMATA was created by the United States Congress as an interstate compact between the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. WMATA provides rapid transit service under the Metrorail name, fixed-route bus service under the Metrobus brand, and paratransit service under the MetroAccess brand.  The authority is also part of a public–private partnership that operates the DC Circulator bus system.

Project Description:

WMATA’s Department of Information Technology was looking for a vendor who could take up and assist them in the employees’ knowledge enhancement and training needs to meet its business objectives. They had requested an expert functional analyst to set up and operate PeopleSoft ELM (a platform to train and enhance the skills of the employees). They wanted us to integrate the testing tool namely Questionmark Perception with PeopleSoft ELM to support Training and Operational Assessment testing needs. This involved collaboration of the vendor with the IT staff to covert Training related applications to newest versions to support WMATA business processes by creating Virtual Machine Servers. The vendor also had to assist team members to troubleshoot functional or business process issues and resolve defects related to Training modules/servers

Technical Environment:

Oracle PeopleSoft ELM 9.1, Questionmark Perception, Adobe Captivate 2019, Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint)  in a SCORM environment

Solution provided:

V Group with WMATA understood the knowledge related positions that influence public safety assessments for Rail/Bus/Strategy, Planning and Program Management departments and  as required by WMATA, has extensively used Perception Question Mark and integrated it with Enterprise Learning Management (ELM). V Group also integrated the Old CBTs in Enterprise Learning Management by creating and editing them using Adobe Captivate 2019, Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint) for multiple Operational and Maintenance departments to support Computer Based Training (CBT) in a SCORM environment.  As further required by WMATA, V Group assists the WMATA ELM Team in resolving CBT technical issues and work with other Analysts regarding same.

  • project lead with in-depth exposure to applications development/programming, system analysis, relational databases and customized reports & interfaces
  • Strong background in more than 10 major successful PeopleSoft implementations, and 7 PeopleSoft 8.x, 9.1 and 9.2 upgrades - Excellent experience in Implementation, Development, Upgrade, Reporting,
  • Conversion, Support and Maintenance of PeopleSoft HCM, Campus Solution and FSCM products
