Application Development Support on PeopleSoft, WMATA
Overview
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, commonly referred to as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that operates transit service in the Washington metropolitan area. WMATA was created by the United States Congress as an interstate compact between the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Project Scope
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority required a PeopleSoft ELM Development Support expertise for Troubleshoot application development and business process issues related to ELM module v9.2.
Solution
The objective of the project was to provide continuous PeopleSoft ELM Development support for troubleshooting application development and business process issues related to ELM module v9.2. V Group Inc. provided support in customizing code for enhancing system, developed complex routines in the form of bolt-on code to supplement ELM v9.2. Also, provided hands-on technical solutions to WMATA business challenges & translated them into process/technical solutions.
For a streamlined flow, we also worked with other developers and functional analysts to determine the best technical approaches to map existing internal WMATA technical, professional development, and leadership courses to new job requirements, in line with the client’s requirements. Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract and helped the client in mapping existing internal WMATA processes, aligned with their business’ requirements reducing support overhead.
