Overview

The Managed Information System Project (MIS) project for company aimed to oversee and streamline the IT Applications Portfolio for the division. The project encompassed managing business-critical applications, delivering quality IT services, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The initiative was designed to enhance operational efficiency, enable seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams, and support business growth under the 'Ease of Doing Business' program.
 

Project Scope

The project’s scope included the following key activities:

  1. Portfolio Management: Overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of applications for the company, ensuring high-quality deliveries within defined timelines.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with core business stakeholders to identify pain points and propose IT solutions aligned with business goals.
  3. Prototyping and MVP Creation: Developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to meet evolving business needs.
  4. IT Operations Management: Managing incidents and service requests via ITSM while adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  5. Reporting: Providing regular updates to the respective department of IT Services and presenting monthly project and service status to the Divisional Finance Controller.
  6. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the Information Management Policy and regulatory compliance requirements.
  7. Budgeting and Planning: Preparing budgets for application development projects, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and license costs.
  8. Vendor Management: Conducting effective negotiations and managing vendor relationships.
  9. Azure DevOps Migration: Transitioning from TFS 2013 to Azure DevOps and setting up automated build and release pipelines.
