Overview

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is a public benefit corporation responsible for public transportation in the New York City metropolitan area of the U.S. state of New York. The MTA is the largest public transit authority in the United States, serving 12 counties in Downstate New York, along with two counties in southwestern Connecticut under contract to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, carrying over 11 million passengers on an average weekday systemwide, and over 850,000 vehicles on its seven toll bridges and two tunnels per weekday.

Project Scope

MTA was looking for a vendor to assist in migration of legacy systems and other unsupported applications to the Microsoft Dynamics platform.


Solution

MTA faced the challenge of upgrading critical applications essential for the safe operation of train services. V Group Inc. provided a comprehensive solution by leveraging Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

The solution encompassed enterprise business automation, DevOps automation, deep Dynamics 365 expertise, custom development, and robust reporting capabilities. V Group Inc. also extended Dynamics 365's functionality by creating Canvas applications and implementing custom Plug-ins and PCFs. We meticulously configured security settings and provided guidance on Azure Data Factory.

This transformation resulted in modernized operations, improved efficiency, and enhanced data analytics for MTA.
