Project Scope

Virginia State Department of Transportation was seeking a vendor to provide Business Data Management Services like Data Modelling, Data Architecture etc. for its Enterprise Data Management Program.

Solution

V Group Inc.  managed the VDOT Business Data Management Architect role. We worked with different teams like business, data, and enterprise architecture, as well as data stewards and custodians, to make sure everyone was on the same page.

We used our knowledge of data modelling to create better ways to manage data. This included sorting data into categories to make it easier to find and understand, which helped improve how VDOT handles information. We also helped develop VDOT's Business Capability Model, which is like a guide for how the agency uses data.

In addition, V Group Inc. made sure to keep up with important industry standards, like the National Information Exchange Model and Spatial Data Standards. This helped VDOT stay in line with best practices for managing data.

Overall, V Group Inc. provided the VDOT Business Data Management Services, making data management easier and more efficient for the agency.
