Overview

The Mission of the New York State Office of Mental Health is to promote the mental health of all New Yorkers, with a particular focus on providing hope and recovery for adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances.

The Office of Mental Health (OMH) operates psychiatric centers across the State, and also regulates, certifies and oversees more than 4,500 programs, which are operated by local governments.

Project Scope

State of New York: Office of Mental Health required a Web Consultancy Development Support for responsive coding for mobile devices and testing User Interface code for cross browser compatibility to achieve project and company goals.

Solution

The objective of the project is to provide a continuous Web Development Consultancy Support for supporting internal and external web applications with cross browser compatible, device responsive, reusable, and accessible code leveraging core jQuery libraries including various plug ins, aligned with the client’s business goals.

V Group Inc. provided support in mobile website development tasks successfully. Primarily, we understood and captured the parameters, and the project was broken down into several components to ease the process offering quality services.

With a methodical approach, object-oriented (OO) JavaScript, OO CSS, HTML5 were used for a responsive design. Designed, developed and maintained web pages using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery libraries. Participated in requirements analysis and developed solutions for web content: user interface, middle-tier business components, etc.

Moving on, we also helped in debugging web user interface issues and performed the unit testing, system integration testing in development and in production. Participated in the development of software user manuals and end-user documents. Assisted in the training of software development staff. Also, implemented and customized SharePoint Site Collections, document libraries and team and project sites, as per the need. Implemented custom-based lists and workflows using SharePoint designer 2010, InfoPath 2010.

Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract and helped the client in providing web development, aligned with their business’ requirements reducing support overhead.
