Redesigning Network Architecture - Phase 02
The client, one of the most reputed law firms in the USA, Wanted to revamp its network design architecture. This activity aimed to identify anomalies, maximise performance, and keep an eye out for attacks while protecting the organisation’s data from any possible attack.
Problem Statement and Challenges
Being a Law Firm responsible for handling data from Fortune 500 organisations, the client wanted to be as vigilant as they could with their data security, which is why they wanted to amplify their network security and ensure that it is up to current standards.
We started with Failover Setup for 02 of the client's data centres in Greenville and Asheville. We also updated the Wireless Controllers, Palo Alto firewall and Cisco FTD code. Moreover, we moved on to enabling Flexconnect, which helps you configure and control access points (AP) for a remote/branch office location from headquarters without installing a controller in each remote/branch office location.
Finally, we activated DDOS protection in Palo Alto and Cisco FTD, created VLAN, modified ACL, created WAN Optimization rule in Riverbed, cleaned up VIP/ Nodes/ Pool for unused applications while adding new ones in F5 and authenticated the access for IPs in the networks.
