Client Background:

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is a large state government agency in the U.S. state of North Carolina, somewhat analogous to the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The DHHS has more than 19,000 employees. The DHHS has its origins in the former North Carolina Department of Human Resources. The head of DHHS is appointed by the Governor of North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Cabinet in the executive branch of the North Carolina government. The DHHS was created in 1971. 

Project Scope:

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) required Quality Assurance support for the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) for analyzing business requirements, reviewing test cases and other testing artifacts according to the project plan schedule adhering to standard practices and procedures.

Solution:

The objective of the project included critical Quality Assurance support for requirements analysis and automated test cases/script development, in line with the business and client requirements for NC FAST (North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology).  

V Group Inc. supported the client and understood the test cases in line with the user requirements and challenges that are presented to the system, as they must be reviewed by the Validation team to ensure smooth functioning of the Applications/interfaces/portals. We also defined product test plans and criteria for acceptance using Functional Specification Documents, Business Requirements Documents and Technical Design Documents. Developed, updated, and maintained testing standards and procedures and resolved testing process questions / issues. Also, assisted in the planning, creation, and control of the test environments and conducted inspections using HP test tools and Selenium for resolving issues. 

Primarily, we coordinated and executed assembly or product tests with the Test Team, Application Team and the Program Manager. Worked with Test Team members to enhance their testing skills for building technical and business knowledge. Updated test release installation procedures and determined time estimates and schedule for testability and comprehensiveness. Defined and utilized entry / exit criteria for a bug free application.    

In this project, V Group has Supported the client by working in tandem with the users to anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team. This was achieved via excellent teamwork, as we helped the client to co-ordinate the work in order by allowing them to interact with the other product teams and other stakeholders. 

Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract, V Group Inc. supported the client in planning, implementing, executing, and evaluating software quality assurance review processes, keeping up to date with the latest know-how and trends.
