Client Background:  

Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) operates DART First State, offering a statewide network of transportation options. Services provided include fixed route, intercounty, seasonal bus, paratransit for people with disabilities, commuter train service contracted through SEPTA, and RideShare Delaware’s ride-matching program.  

Project Scope: 

The State of Delaware: Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) required Project Management support to direct, control, administer, and regulate enhancement or development for a new system aimed at modernizing the Department.

Solution:

The objective of the project included Project Management Support for proper analysis and project management for this multimillion-dollar deployment of a newly enhanced system, in line with the business goals and requirements. The system needed compilation and cleansing of data to facilitate reporting to DTC management in the areas of revenue, trends analysis, ADA compliance, and ridership for enhancing productivity and growth. 

V Group Inc. supported the client and understood the challenges that were present in the existing system. These challenges were reviewed by the team to overcome them ensuring smooth transitioning of the system.  In the first place, we provided support in the approval and sign-off of the program plan with customer representatives, such as portfolio managers, and all the program stakeholders. Management of scope for the program and gaining agreement and approval of scope changes was done successfully. Built and maintained relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives with proper work planning and scheduling design work, proactively.  

Moving ahead, with a streamlined approach we facilitated the client in managing, tracking, and resolving the progress serving as the primary point of contact. Coordinated and presented proposals to agencies as per the need. Identified and managed program risk and developed risk mitigation strategies, for a smooth project flow. Coordinated the establishment of program standards and program-specific procedures with team leads. Program management metrics were also provided. 

We also drafted a baseline for all program templates for developing and facilitating Program service commitments and performance metrics. Evaluation of the program management with stakeholders for approval upon program completion was done successfully. Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract, V Group Inc. supported the client in end-to-end Project Management successfully, keeping up to date with the latest know-how and trends.
