PeopleSoft Integration and Maintenance, Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Overview

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is a public benefit corporation responsible for public transportation in the New York City metropolitan area of the U.S. state of New York. The MTA is the largest public transit authority in the United States, serving 12 counties in Downstate New York, along with two counties in southwestern Connecticut under contract to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, carrying over 11 million passengers on an average weekday systemwide, and over 850,000 vehicles on its seven toll bridges and two tunnels per weekday.

Project Scope

MTA required a vendor for integrating new modules and maintaining support for existing modules of the PeopleSoft software system.


Solution

V Group as a prime contractor provided services to support and maintain the PeopleSoft production system consisting of the Human Resources, Benefits and Payroll modules.

Along with support and maintenance, V Group provided MTA with services to integrate their new PeopleSoft modules of Time and Labor, eProcurement, Budget and Financials into the existing production system.

We then provided MTA with Oracle DBA support service for the PeopleSoft application along with customizations options to the PeopleSoft code as business needs dictate.

We lead in providing support for applying upgrades, patches and fixes, troubleshooting problems, coordinating problem solving, researching potential processing issues, testing and implementing data manipulation/correction scripts.
