PeopleSoft ELM and HCM Configuration, Implementation and Management for WMATA
Overview
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, commonly referred to as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that operates transit service in the Washington metropolitan area. WMATA was created by the United States Congress as an interstate compact between the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Project Scope
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) required a PeopleSoft ELM and HCM Consultancy Support expertise to write complex SQL scripts to resolve data issues, large-scale implementation, and production support for PeopleSoft ELM module, in line with the business goals.
Solution
The objective of the project was to provide continuous PeopleSoft ELM and HCM Consultancy support for ELM implementation, upgrade, or production support, aligned with the project scope and business goals. Primarily, we understood and captured the parameters, and the project was broken down into several components to ease the process of offering quality services.
With a methodical approach, we helped in providing PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) IT application development and production support to address and troubleshoot application development and business process issues related to ELM module v9.2. We performed every task within the stipulated time and in line with the client’s requirements.
Moving ahead, we also customized code for enhancing the system and developed complex routines in the form of bolt-on code to supplement ELM v9.2. Also, provided hands-on technical solutions to WMATA business challenges & translated them into process/technical solutions. Worked with other developers and functional analysts to determine the best technical approaches to map existing internal WMATA technical, professional development, and leadership courses to new requirements. V Group’s support assisted in managing the scope as per the project requirement. Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract and helped the client in mapping existing internal WMATA processes by providing PeopleSoft ELM and HCM, aligned with their business’ requirements reducing support overhead.
