MS SQL SSRS Development Support, State of Maryland: Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE)

Overview

The goal of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) is to make health coverage affordable and more accessible for Marylanders. We are responsible for Maryland Health Connection, the state’s health insurance marketplace under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA).

Project Scope

The State of Maryland: Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) required MS SQL SSRS Development Support to modify inspection software, created internally and used by Field Inspectors at the Board assigned to inspect facilities (pharmacies and wholesale distributors), to meet the business needs of the Board, in line with the project scope and business goals.

Solution

The objective of the project included MS SQL SSRS Development support to replace a non-functioning, off-the-shelf, SQL-based mobile inspection software application, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

V Group Inc. supported the client and understood the challenges that were present in the existing system. These challenges were reviewed by the team to overcome them ensuring smooth transitioning of the system. In the first place, following an iterative approach we altered/added features to an existing inspection program for making it securely accessible by Board Inspectors in real-time while in the field using a laptop or tablet web browser, as per the need for a smooth flow of the project.

With a strategic approach, we synchronized, imported, and/or entered inspection data into the Board’s MyLicense SQL- based database.

Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract, V Group Inc. supported the client in modifying and enhancing the existing software successfully, keeping up to date with the latest know-hows and trends.
