The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is a public benefit corporation responsible for public transportation in the New York City metropolitan area of the U.S. state of New York. The MTA is the largest public transit authority in the United States, serving 12 counties in Downstate New York, along with two counties in southwestern Connecticut under contract to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, carrying over 11 million passengers on an average weekday systemwide, and over 850,000 vehicles on its seven toll bridges and two tunnels per weekday.
The MTA was building a team of human-centered strategists, designers, writers, and technologists to reimagine the customer experience for the millions of people that they move through the city each day. They were looking for a vendor with mobile applications experience to join and play a major role in creating helpful tools for their riders.
V Group as a prime vendor is currently helping MTA to redesign and continuously improve the mobile applications. We translate the UI/UX design wireframes to high-quality code and technical implementations that produce visual elements write code and unit tests, we are working with API specs and automation to optimize components for maximum performance Participate in all aspects of agile software development lifecycle. Our team is responsible to remediate production issues, defects, and bugs, Author and updating functional requirements and technical design documentation. V Group also contributes to and helps maintain MTA's pattern library, Update stakeholders via code check-ins and posts via project management tools.
