Development Support on .NET, DelDOT
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is an agency of the U.S. state of Delaware. The Secretary of Transportation is Jennifer Cohan. The agency was established in 1917 and has its headquarters in Dover.
The State of Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) required a .NET Development support expertise for analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of all application code owned by the Application Team in line with the project requirements.
The objective of the project was to provide a continuous .NET development support for troubleshooting and problem resolution in a client-server/web application environment, utilizing SQL Server / Oracle 10g +, PL/SQL Programming, and writing stored procedures, triggers, and functions. With a methodical approach, the project was broken down into several components to ease the process of offering quality services.
In the beginning, we provided maintenance (including production support), enhancements, and development work. We also worked with the Application Delivery team and the various DTI disciplines to ensure that the application meets customer requirements. Using SQL Server Reporting Services / Crystal Reporting / Cognos Reporting, web services, XML, and MVC, to ensure the proper and smooth functioning of the involved stakeholders meeting business requirements.
V Group successfully supported the department in this task by capturing all the parameters. Subsequently, clear communication of the program/application goals, operational and organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures concerning application development was completed successfully; V Group’s support assisted in managing the scope as per the project requirement. Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract and helped the client in designing, tailoring, and developing applications aligned with their business’ requirements reducing support overhead.
