Client Background: 

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is one of North Carolina’s largest state government agencies, with more than 14,000 employees. NCDOT works hard to provide high-quality transportation for travelers throughout North Carolina, including highways, rail, aviation, ferries, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and public transit.

Project Scope:

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) required programmatic support for Business Analysis, Business Process Mapping, and Re-engineering tasks for the Department's PMO Organization supporting the ROWMS (Right of Way Management System) and TMS Projects.

Solution:

As a Prime vendor, V Group has provided programmatic support to develop business continuity plans, developing Operational Transition Plans, developing Data Mapping/Conversion Plans including business process analysis, requirements development, testing, and documentation. This task required V Group’s expertise in computer system implementations, change management, and large group facilitation. The project follows an Agile software development environment and V Group’s Scrum Master’s capabilities were utilized in the project processes aside from the core tasks. V group has worked with NCDOT’s PMO Manager, Project Manager, Business Customer, and project team to Analyse, define, and document requirements for workflow, business processes, and test cases. This also required to Analyse and estimate feasibility and compatibility with other programs and projects. As overall program support, we have also provided quality control for project deliverables and processes.
