Overview

The Jefferson County Information Technology Services Department is responsible in providing with Application Development & Support, Infrastructure, Network and Communication Services to County Departments and Elected Officials and to make services provided to the public more accessible.

Project Scope

Jefferson County was looking for an experienced project management service provider for creating and managing the following types of project assets: Requirements/Deliverables Traceability Matrix, Risk Register, ROI analysis, RACI Diagram, Stakeholder Register, Communication Plan, QA Plan, Project Plan/Schedule, Project Charters, Letter of Acceptance, RFPs and Statements of Work.


Solution

In the context of V Group Inc.'s project solutions, the IT Project Manager played a pivotal role, and their responsibilities encompassed various crucial tasks. They were responsible for meticulously planning, executing, and finalizing projects within the defined timelines and allocated budget constraints. Throughout these endeavours, the Project Manager collaborated closely with business stakeholders and end-users to ensure that the final product aligned seamlessly with their specific requirements.  

To streamline project workflows and enhance efficiency, they employed appropriate project management tools, reports, templates, and PMO process documentation. This facilitated the smooth execution of projects. The Project Manager also actively engaged with departmental staff and, when necessary, vendors, extending support to other departments as they worked towards fulfilling project requirements.  

Adhering to project management best practices was of utmost importance. This encompassed comprehensive risk management, quality management, change management, change control, and the implementation of robust communication strategies. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager provided leadership, guidance, and unwavering support to all project team members, ensuring cohesive and productive teamwork. 

Additionally, we conducted thorough business process analyses and technology evaluations, seeking opportunities for improvement and optimization. Working closely with internal customers, the Project Manager identified areas where process and technology changes could be implemented to enhance overall operational effectiveness. In the dynamic world of project management at V Group Inc., they remained adaptable and ready to take on any other duties or tasks as assigned, contributing to the company's ability to evolve and meet its project objectives effectively.
