Overview

NCAOC provides centralized administration and budgeting services for the state’s courts. The NCAOC’s approach to centralized operations is to apply its professional expertise consistently in the best interests of the court system as a whole. This is accomplished by seeking understanding and supporting the needs and demands of the more than 500 independently elected court officials as well as staff and by considering their diversity, caseloads, and available resources to provide the best problem-solving services and tools needed to ensure timely and proper disposition of caseloads.


Project Scope

NCAOC was seeking technical writing assistance to support its mission to protect and preserve the rights and liberties of all the people by providing a fair, independent, and accessible forum for the just, timely, and economical resolution of their legal affairs. The NCAOC had signed a contract with a vendor to provide an integrated case/financial management system to replace multiple legacy applications.


Solution

NCAOC faced the complex challenge of translating intricate technical information into clear, concise documents that could be comprehended by both technical experts and non-technical personnel. V Group Inc. responded with a holistic solution that left no documentation need unaddressed.

The solution encompassed a diverse portfolio of documentation types, including communications, system documentation, user manuals, installation guides, standard operating procedures (SOP), policies, and more. Our team conducted interviews to expertly distil technical insights into accessible language for various stakeholder groups. Meticulous editing ensured that special reports and deliverables met impeccable standards of grammar, content, and writing style.

One of the critical aspects of the project was the creation and editing of knowledge-based content, describing vendor services, and troubleshooting processes for both end-users and internal users. V Group Inc. also collaborated closely with managers to optimize and maintain internal and external content for usability and accessibility while maintaining the highest quality standards.

This collaborative approach extended to content production, where the team worked directly with managers to produce high-quality knowledge-based articles, bolstering the vendor's product offerings. Furthermore, V Group Inc. managed the entire documentation process, from initial planning to ongoing content maintenance. We also conducted peer reviews of knowledge-based, technical, and program documents and demonstrated their ability to document complex business processes.
