Overview

The New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety is a governmental agency in the U.S. state of New Jersey that focuses on the protection of the lives and property of New Jersey residents and visitors. The department operates under the supervision of the New Jersey Attorney General. The department is responsible for safeguarding "civil and consumer rights, promoting highway traffic safety, maintaining public confidence in the alcoholic beverage, gaming and racing industries and providing legal services and counsel to other state agencies.


Project Scope

The New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety required analytical support to align information technology solutions with business delivery initiatives.


Solution

The objective of the project included Business Analysis support for aligning information technology solutions with business delivery initiatives as per the client’s requirements.

V Group Inc. supported the client and understood the requirements and articulated and documented business requirements precisely. In the first place, we worked with the user community, technical resources, and key stakeholders to elicit high-level requirements by capturing business needs. Helped in analyzing and evaluating existing and/or proposed systems ensuring smooth transitioning of the project.

Secondly, we conducted a business process analysis by demonstrating a high level of expertise to bridge the gap between business requirements and Information Technology solutions. Also, in parallel, we provided technical direction ensuring compliance with best-practice solutions. We also worked with project stakeholders to develop project scope and application requirements.

Going with the flow, we formulated and defined system requirements and objectives through understanding of the applicable business systems and industry requirements. Also, translated high-level business requirements to functional requirement specifications supporting the project vision, aligned with the business goals.

Analyzed and understood the business operation's strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for automating processes and functions. This was achieved via excellent teamwork, as we helped the client to co-ordinate the work in order by allowing them to interact with the other product teams and other stakeholders.

Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract, V Group Inc. supported the client in planning, implementing, executing, and evaluating the project successfully, keeping up to date with the latest know-how and trends.
