Client Background:  

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, commonly referred to as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that operates transit service in the Washington metropolitan area. WMATA was created by the United States Congress as an interstate compact between the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Project Scope: 

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority required PeopleSoft ELM service support in assisting WMATA to implement, optimize, and customize their ELM PeopleSoft application while adding value for enhancing and streamlining internal business processes and driving business growth. 

PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) is a software application used by WMATA to deliver, track, report, and manage training and learner activities. 

Solution:

The objective of the project included but not limited to PeopleSoft ELM service expertise for translating customer requirements and easing the processes by providing day-to-day support, configuration and troubleshooting, and business process improvement across the entire business landscape. 

V Group Inc. helped the client in providing end to end PeopleSoft ELM expertise solution for an enterprise, as we helped in developing processes and documentation supporting the SDLC responsible for key strategic initiatives in an efficient manner. Going with the flow, we also provided hands-on technical solutions to the current business challenges and translated them into process/technical solutions. 

We also helped in eliciting requirements documents and specifications from functional users and subject matter experts for driving continuous improvement through experience and expertise. In addition, we also helped in writing Technical Code to develop solutions meeting user requirements, as per the requirement. In addition, we also developed and maintained standard systems requirement documents including but not limited to: business process workflows, Functional Requirements Documents, Technical Specifications, and use cases, etc.  

Moving ahead, we also implemented complex enterprise system configurations. Defined test scenarios based on the requirements, creating test scripts, and conducted user acceptance testing. The streamlined approach allowed us to meet deadlines, managing multiple, dynamic priorities, simultaneously and successfully.  With effective communication, we applied ELM, HCM knowledge, and industry best practices in developing the to-be business processes and procedures offering the specific deliverables. 

Assisted in translating business requirements and functional designs into technical designs by analyzing the business needs, and helped in resolving to mitigate production application issues and specific end-user inquiries. We also helped with all development technologies including but not limited to People Code, Query Manager, SQL, Crystal, nVision, App Engine, App Messaging, and SQR. We worked independently with application development leads and were proactive in managing error resolutions and functional specification inaccuracies.   

Served as a liaison between Agency and solution’s contract we transformed the holistic IT Infrastructure of applications and business processes in the most optimum way within the stipulated time.
