The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is North America's largest transportation network, serving a population of 15.3 million people across a 5,000-square-mile travel area surrounding New York City through Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut. The MTA network comprises the nation’s largest bus fleet and more subway and commuter rail cars than all other U.S. transit systems combined. The MTA's operating agencies are MTA New York City Transit, MTA Bus, Long Island Railroad, Metro-North Railroad, and MTA Bridges and Tunnels.
Project Scope:
MTA was looking for a .Net Full Stack developer with Azure Cloud experience to develop new, migrate existing applications and support MTA IT Enterprise product group applications.
Solution:
As a prime vendor V Group Inc. supported on day-to-day administration activities including deployment, testing, tuning, upgrading, and troubleshooting. Our responsibilities also included suggesting product development teams on migrating older technology apps to latest technology platform with the DevOps adoption strategies.
We developed applications with Azure cloud IaaS and PaaS platform for the MTA on RESTful web APIs using ASP.NET Web API 2/ASP.NET Core MVC, Dependency Injection, XML, json etc. We also implemented real-time web applications on both front-end and back-end components.
V Group Inc. facilitated serverless applications using NET Framework 4.7, .NET Core 2.2 & 3.0 and C# skills; Backend development on SQL, TSQL or other storage solutions and secure software development.
